Mr. Cory Allen Goodman

Cory Allen Goodman of High River, Alberta passed away in the presence of family and dear friends at the High River Hospital at the age of 56 years. “Big C” will be fondly remembered for his warmth, humour, and the deep kindness he shared with all who knew him. Cory is survived by his loving wife Sheri, and their children who share many of his incredible qualities — daughter Sarah and son Adam. Cory had many passions in life including boating, camping, travelling to Mexico and snowmobiling. He loved nothing more than sharing his hobbies with others, getting family and friends hooked on adrenaline and the great outdoors. He was blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, which he channeled into the limousine and taxi business he started in 1993. Customers could count on his reliable service and down-to-earth approach to doing business. Cory always maintained a high level of detail when it came to his fleet of vehicles. And there were many! From limos to luxury cars, buses, RVs, trucks and corvettes, Cory was always on the hunt for his next new ride and he’d cross the country or the border for the right set of wheels. Cory connected easily with people — young, old and everyone in between. He was a coach, a mentor, and a father figure to many. But it was home where he was in his glory as a loving husband, a supportive father, an incredible cook, a gracious host, and the biggest pushover of a dog dad you’ve ever met. Cory’s life was marked by a profound love for his family and community. He was an unwavering friend, always ready with a helping hand, a story to share, or a laugh to lift your spirits. His dedication, generosity, and compassion touched many lives and will be cherished in memory. Following Cory’s glioblastoma diagnosis, he received remarkable support from dozens of family and friends who filled the Goodman home with love. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported them in keeping Cory at home, and to those who were always checking in or lending a helping hand. A Celebration of Cory’s Life will be held at the High River United Church on Friday, November 21st at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to join in honouring his memory and sharing stories of the joy he brought to those around him.
