    Mr. Gregory Layne Clingman

    January 23, 1955 - December 14, 2021

Mr. Gregory Clingman, a one in a million kind of man; husband, dad, grandpa, and brother, passed away on December 14, 2021, at the High River Hospital at the age of 66 years. Greg is survived by his oldest son Tyler (Petrina) and their children London and Cruze, as well as his youngest son Braydon (Sophie) and his children Abigail, Liam, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his brother Brent Clingman. Greg was born in High River to Roberta and Leighton Clingman. They lived on the family farm in Blackie where he grew up, which has now spanned 5 generations. He met Phyllis Sewell in 7th grade, fell in love, and they were married on July 5, 1975 in High River. He was unfortunately predeceased from Phyllis on April 23, 2016. He loved her unconditionally and lived his life for her. He spent much of his life behind the big wheel hauling whatever was needed. Whether it be cement, cattle, grain, or various liquids for Promolas, Cooneys or BASF. He had a love for snowmobiling with Phyllis, amongst friends and family while younger, and continued even after starting their families. He was a proud member of the Lion’s Club, Tom and Jerry Club, and an avid community supporter. When he wasn’t driving truck, he was driving his boys all over Southern Alberta for their hockey games. He loved spending time with his family when he was able to. Greg was an awesome guy to be around. He will always be remembered for his BIG infectious laugh, his huge smile, and his incredible “Clingman” sense of humour. His loyalty to his family and friends was unconditional. His character and integrity will be remembered as a shining beacon of his dedication to life. Memorial Donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A private family gathering will be held at Lyle Reeves Funerals Atrium on Friday, December 17, 2021. He will be laid to rest with his wife at the Highwood Columbarium. Caring for the family is Lyle Reeves Funerals of High River (Craig Snodgrass) 403.652.4242.
