Lyle was predeceased by his parents Leighton and Roberta Clingman; mother & father-in-law Ruth Snider and Clifford Laycraft; sister in law Ruth Clingman and beloved Dog Norton Clingman. Lyle was born and raised on the Clingman homestead farm near Blackie AB. Lyle was an exceptional carpenter for the majority of his life. Taking his skills as far Baffin Island, Nunavut Canada where he helped to build hospitals for the Inuit people. In his later years he took great pride in providing fresh water for those who didn't have their own water supply. He was a true cowboy at heart enjoying trail riding in the mountains, chuckwagon races and rodeos. He was often seen with a huge smile on his face. He was extremely kindhearted never hesitating to give you the shirt off his back and always welcomed others with a friendly hello or youuuu whoooooo. He took life head on and lived it to the fullest. The trait people will remember most fondly about Lyle was his infectious sense of humor. He took great pleasure in making people laugh. If he liked you, you were lovingly teased. He had a knack for making up his own vocabulary. One thing he would tell you for sure "Don't get flim flammed, and if you do, don't get all raspicidious about it". Lyle you will be deeply missed by those of us who truly love you. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Foothills Country Hospice (Box 274, Okotoks, Ab, T1S 1A5).
